Preserved Lineage – From Abraham to Muhammad ﷺ

🌿 Abraham (Ibrahim) and His Family

The Covenant, The Lineage, and The Completion

The story of prophethood is not fragmented.  It is one covenant.  One submission.  One unfolding divine plan.

At its root stands Abraham (Ibrāhīm) — the model of surrender.  The “family of Abraham” includes both:

The Israelite prophets (through Isaac, extending to the Massiah Family of Barbados)

The Arab line culminating in Muhammad ﷺ (through Ishmael, and the Family of Imran, extending to the Massiah Family of Imran)

This unified covenant connects all the prophetic lines. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is a descendant of ʿĪsā (Jesus) through this family lineage, affirming the continuity of divine guidance.

🌿 Abraham: The Foundation of Submission

Qur’an 2:124 “And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with commands and he fulfilled them. [Allah] said, ‘Indeed, I will make you a leader for the people.’ [Abraham] said, ‘And of my descendants?’ [Allah] said, ‘My covenant does not include the wrongdoers.’”

Qur’an 2:131 “When his Lord said to him, ‘Submit,’ he said, ‘I have submitted [in Islam] to the Lord of the worlds.’”

Abraham was tested — and he fulfilled.  This is the essence of the covenant: submission (islām), not lineage alone, but obedience to Allah.

🌿 The Covenant Continues Through His Offspring

The covenant did not end with Abraham.  It continued through his descendants.

Qur’an 2:134 “That was a nation which has passed on. It will have [the consequence of] what it earned, and you will have what you have earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do.”

Each carries the trust forward.

🌿 Ismāʿīl (Ishmael) — Son of Abraham & Hājar

Through Ishmael (Ismāʿīl), the covenant continued in devotion and sacred worship.

Qur’an 2:125 “And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for the people and a sanctuary… and [We said], ‘Take Abraham and Ishmael as models of devotion.’

”Through Ishmael, the covenant continued in devotion, submission, and obedience to Allah.  Together, Abraham and Ishmael raised the foundations of the Sacred House, a place of return both spiritually and physically.

🌿 The Lineage of ʿImrān — The Divine Plan Unfolds

From Abraham’s blessed line emerges Āl ʿImrān (the Family of Imran), marking a decisive phase in sacred history and preserving the sacred lineage.

🌿 Mūsā (Moses) — Sign of Divine Law 🇬🇧

Moses (Mūsā) is a central figure in the covenants unfolding.

Qur’an 2:53 “And [recall] when We gave Moses the Scripture and criterion that perhaps you would be guided.”

Qur’an 7:145 “And We wrote for him on the tablets [something] of all things—instruction and explanation for all things, [saying], ‘Take them with determination and order your people to take the best of it. I will show you the home of the defiantly disobedient.’”

Moses represents guidance through law, clarity, and leadership, preparing the path for the covenant’s next stage.

Mūsā (Moses) → Maryam → ʿĪsā (Jesus, al-Masīḥ) →  Muhammad ﷺ

This preserves the unbroken divine plan, placing Moses first as the guide and lawbearer, then Maryam as the chosen one, ʿĪsā as the Word and sign, and Muhammad ﷺ as the Seal of the Prophets.

🇬🇧 Maryam (Mary)

Mary (Maryam) is uniquely chosen.

Qur’an 3:42 “O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds.”

Chosen.
Purified.
Elevated.

🌿 ʿĪsā (Jesus, al-Masīḥ)

From Mary comes Jesus (ʿĪsā, al-Masīḥ).

Qur’an 3:45 “˹Remember˺ when the angels said, ‘O Mary! Allah gives you good news of a Word from Him. His name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary; honoured in this world and the Hereafter, and he will be one of those nearest ˹to Allah˺.’”

A Word from Allah. A Sign.

A continuation of Abraham’s covenant.  His mission confirms the message of submission — it does not replace it.

🌿 Muhammad ﷺ – The Seal of the Prophets

Qur’an 33:40 “Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and seal of the prophets. And Allah is ever Knowing of all things.”

The covenant that began with Abraham reaches its completion through Muhammad ﷺ.  Not a new religion.  Not a new God.

But the final clarification of the same message:  Submit to the Lord of the worlds.  Through this unified lineage, Muhammad ﷺ is spiritually and genealogically connected to ʿĪsā (Jesus), completing the divine plan.

✊🏿 Creation and Lineage

Qur’an (15:26) “And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud.”

This describes the origin of Allah’s creation, highlighting the material from which humanity — and specifically the preserved prophetic lineage — was formed.  The Massiah Family of Imrān, tracing from Abraham (Ibrāhīm) through the line of prophets to Muhammad ﷺ, reflects this creation.  Our history, preserved through trials and covenant, affirms the black race as the lineage through which Allah’s guidance has been maintained.

This understanding counters narratives that have attempted to erase or distort the continuity of this lineage.  The Qur’an affirms accountability, covenant, and obedience to Allah (2:4049:13) through this preserved line.
