Stories of the Prophets in the Qur’an: Allah’s Messengers

The Qur’an teaches that Allah sent prophets throughout history to guide humanity to the truth: to worship Him alone and live with justice, mercy, and righteousness. Each prophet delivered the same core message of Tawheed (the oneness of God), although their communities and circumstances differed.

“And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], ‘Worship Allah and avoid false gods.’” — Qur’an 16:36

Muslims believe in all the prophets mentioned in the Qur’an. They were chosen by Allah to convey revelation, warn their people, and serve as examples of faith and perseverance.

🌿 Why Allah Sent Prophets

According to the Qur’an, prophets were sent to:

  • Call people to worship Allah alone
  • Deliver revelation and guidance
  • Warn against injustice and corruption
  • Provide a living example of faith and obedience

“Messengers as bringers of good news and warners so that mankind would have no argument against Allah after the messengers.” — Qur’an 4:165

Prophets were human beings chosen by Allah, not divine figures. They faced hardship, rejection, and trials while calling their people to the truth.
